This Privacy & Cookie Notice explains how Ode Growth Partners AB (“Ode”, “we”, “us”, “our”) processes personal data in connection with our website and related professional activities. It should be read together with our Terms of Use.

Ode Growth Partners AB is the data controller responsible for determining how and why personal data is processed.

Certain advisory and support services are provided through affiliated entities, including Ode Growth Advisory UK LLP (England and Wales) and Ode Growth Advisory DK ApS (Denmark). References to “Ode”, “we”, or “our” refer to Ode Growth Partners AB and affiliated entities and subsidiaries, including Ode Growth Advisory UK LLP (England and Wales) and Ode Growth Advisory DK ApS (Denmark).

2. Who this notice applies to
This notice applies to individuals who interact with us, including:

  • website visitors,

  • founders and management teams,

  • investors, investor representatives, and advisers,

  • portfolio company contacts,

  • professional counterparties and service providers,

  • users of our CRM systems, secure investor portals and virtual data rooms, and

  • job applicants and candidates for employment or engagement.
     

3. Personal data we process
The categories of personal data we process depend on your relationship with us and may include:

Website visitors and general contacts

  • name, email address, phone number, professional details,

  • correspondence and communications,

  • technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and usage data.
     

Investment-related contacts

  • professional background and experience,

  • identity and verification information where required by law,

  • assessment notes, internal analysis, and evaluation materials, and

  • ​information obtained from public sources, professional networks, portfolio companies, advisers, or transaction counterparties.


CRM, VDR and investor portal users

  • login credentials and authentication data (stored in hashed or equivalent secure form),

  • access logs, permissions, and usage history,

  • communications, reports, and documents made available through secure portals, and

  • relationship management records and interaction history. 
     

Job applicants

  • Where you apply for a role or otherwise engage with us regarding potential employment or engagement, we may process personal data such as your CV, employment history, qualifications, contact details, and information provided during the recruitment process.
     

If you provide us with personal data relating to other individuals (for example, colleagues, team members, advisers, or references), you confirm that you have the authority to do so and that you have provided them with appropriate information about the transfer and use of their personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
We do not actively seek to collect special categories of personal data. Where such data is provided voluntarily or incidentally, it is processed only where a valid legal basis exists.
 
4. If you choose not to provide information
You are not required to provide personal data when visiting our website. However:

  • we may not be able to respond to enquiries without contact details,

  • access to certain materials, portals, or communications may be restricted, and

  • failure to provide required information may prevent us from progressing investment-related matters or complying with legal or regulatory obligations, including anti-money laundering requirements.

Purpose: Operating, maintaining, and securing our systems and platforms
Legal basis: Legitimate interests

Purpose: Business development communications
Legal basis: Legitimate interests; legal obligations (opt-out available)

Purpose: Compliance with legal, regulatory, accounting, and tax obligations
Legeal basis: Legal obligation

We may also process personal data where required to protect our rights or to comply with legal or regulatory proceedings.
Where you receive newsletters or other business development communications from us, you may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the communication or by contacting us at hello@odegrowth.com.

6. Data sharing
Personal data may be shared with:

  • affiliated entities for operational and administrative purposes,

  • providers of CRM systems, secure investor portals or virtual data rooms acting as data processors on our behalf,

  • professional advisers (legal, accounting, audit, insurance),

  • technology and infrastructure providers,

  • regulatory authorities and public bodies where required by law,

  • companies in which we invest or evaluate for investment, and

  • third parties in connection with corporate transactions, restructurings, or fund-related events.

Some service providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:

  • EU-approved standard contractual clauses,

  • adequacy decisions, and

  • other lawful transfer mechanisms recognised under applicable data protection law.

8. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice.
Where personal data relates to a fund, investment, or ongoing investor, founder, or portfolio relationship, we generally retain such data for the duration of the relevant fund or relationship, including any extensions, and for an additional period thereafter as necessary to:

  • comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, and contractual obligations,

  • meet anti-money laundering and record-keeping requirements, and

  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
     

Where no ongoing relationship exists, personal data is typically retained for up to seven years following the conclusion of the relevant interaction, unless a longer or shorter period is required by law.
In some cases, data may be anonymised so that it can no longer be associated with an individual. When personal data is no longer required, it is securely deleted.
 
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • request access to personal data we hold about you,

  • request correction or deletion,

  • object to or restrict certain processing,

  • request data portability, and

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
